For the Health of It

Living in the automotive capital of the world, it’s probably not surprising that I drive more than I walk. Metro Detroiters drive everywhere, and it’s nearly impossible to live in our area without a car. I joke that my Fitbit mostly serves to remind me of how much I DON’T walk, and it lets me know when my phone is ringing in my purse (love that feature).

Don’t plan on coming to a National Association of REALTORS® event without comfortable shoes. Someone told me yesterday that the San Diego Convention Center is a half-mile long. Based on my Fitbit steps, I think he was probably correct. So toss your vanity out the window, or you are likely to end up with a bad case of blisters that will make the rest of the convention painful.

With the lovely San Diego sunny weather, it’s easy to enjoy a stroll down the boardwalk between the hotels and the convention center. I haven’t had a chance to explore much beyond, but what you’ll find right here is just wonderful.
