Keep the post going while on the go. I’m clear that while attending the REALTOR® Conference & Expo I will be on the go from sunrise well past sunset. Face to Face networking converts at a substantially higher rate than online networking. I’m often asked if I ever sleep and the answer is “Yes, like a baby for eight straight hours”. How does one manage to remain social online while giving face to face contacts their undivided attention? Tools and proper planning. Prior to heading to San Diego I spent my Sunday in an intense Social Media Strategy Sunday. For hours I planned my social media strategy to be in alignment with my activities over the course of the next seven days. I hopped back and forth between WordPress, HootSuite Pro, and Schedugr.am.
While on the road I will have a blog post, post to my WordPress blog at www.markilemons.com/blog every morning.
HootSuite is the social media management tool used by 10 million people globally that allows you to preschedule 300 messages in advance per social media channel that you use. The system allows for bulk upload via a csv formatted file. Through Hootsuite I scheduled over 150 post to go out to two Twitter accounts, LinkedIn, and two Facebook Business Page.
As a lover of Instagram it is sometimes impossible to take photos and post them in real time therefore, Schedugr.am allows you to load video and photos in advance. Due to my selfie addiction I only loaded one photo per day to be posted and I will load one photo per day while on the go. Currently, I use IFTTT to auto post all of my Instagram photos directly to Twitter and display my photos as a native photo and not just a hyperlink back to Instagram.
Yes, you should post content while on the go but not at the expense of face to face networking opportunities. Social media management gives you some breathing room to focus on the person in front of you while still being social online.
